Week 41: five areas, one journey

The site moved to a five-area structure, every entry now hangs off a map node, and the first problem-to-production journey is live.

Changed

The archive is organised by the question you have, not by the format I wrote in. Learn, Build, Design, Operate, Explore. Hubs hide anything that is empty.

Learned

Compound React components do not survive the server-to-client boundary in Next.js unless their parts are exported flat. Filed against Unseen UI, fixed in the next alpha.

Reading

Re-reading the transactional outbox literature with agents in mind. The pattern maps cleanly; the write-up is in Design.

Week 40: alpha out, radar in

Unseen UI alpha.1 reached npm, the tools page grew a radar ring, and one retrieval experiment got abandoned on purpose.

Shipped

Both Unseen UI packages are on npm as 0.1.0-alpha.1. The next alpha adds a link button, filter chips and a neutral tag, all found while building this site.

Learned

Hybrid retrieval with a cross-encoder re-ranker improved recall on the golden set by a small margin but doubled p95 latency. Abandoned for now. The experiment is logged.

Reading

The OWASP LLM Top 10 update. The prompt-injection section is the one to re-read before any tool-calling deployment.
